Sequim has been named “One of the 10 Best Places to Retire in the U.S.” in many magazine articles over the past 15 years.  It is well known as having only one-third the rainfall of neighboring Seattle, which is a pleasant 2 1/2 hour drive away (or you can take the ferry to downtown Seattle).  Pilots talk about the blue hole in the sky visible so often as they fly over the Olympic Peninsula enroute from SeaTac to Anchorage.  Others talk about the Rain Shadow effect.  Sequim is called “Sunny Sequim” by many.

Retirees hear about Sequim from southern California while golfing or playing cards with friends and Sequim is a topic of conversation from as far away as Florida and Massachusetts.  Here Sequim resident Chuck Marunde, who raised his family in Sequim, practiced real estate law in Sequim, and now practices as a Real Estate Buyer’s Agent for clients from California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and all over the U.S., introduces himself briefly on this video.
